Calling all musicians, all singers, all songwriters…everyone is welcome at the Open Mic.
With the recent changes in organization of open mic and the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew, and the general chaos over the last couple weeks, we find ourselves with only 2 weeks left to organize, promote, and find judges for the scheduled songwriter competition on Nov. 17. We have heard very little feedback as to the number of contestants we can expect to show up with songs written about “rain” (last month’s competition was forfeited due to lack of participation). SO…with that being said, we have decided to postpone the competition once again until after the holidays….but wait, don’t fret. (pun intended)
Instead we would like to host and present “Original Song Night” at the Patio on Thursday Nov 17. All performers are encouraged to share one or more original songs you have written as well as your favorite covers. No copies of lyrics, no entry fees and no pressure. Just music from the heart. We apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused and we look forward to seeing you on the 17th.
